Janine has been busy starring in the feature film No Regrets with Brad Johnson and Kate Jackson in Nashville, Tennessee. She also made her directorial debut with her short film, Trip in a Summer Dress, as well as starring in the feature film Birdie and Bogey. In addition to acting and directing, Janine has combined her love for children with her love for writing in her first children's book, Maggie May's Family Day.

Janine is perhaps best known for her role as the plucky and independent 'Maggie O'Connell' in the Emmy Award-winning CBS series, Northern Exposure, which ran for six seasons.

She recently completed two-and-a-half seasons on the hit number Lifetime one cable series, Strong Medicine (produced by Whoopi Goldberg) where she starred as the no-nonsense surgeon 'Dr. Dana Stowe'.

Janine attributes her success to her beginnings in Texas. Her career began at the tender age of three, doing print and commercial modeling with the Kim Dawson Agency in Dallas, Texas, and she was an apprentice with the Fort Worth Ballet. At the age of 15, Janine signed with the renowned Wilhelmina Modeling Agency and became their youngest client working while attending the Professional Children's School.

Fittingly, her first television acting job was a recurring role as Lucy Ewing's best friend on the smash hit CBS series, Dallas. She, also, had starring roles on the late-night soap Behind the Screen and the popular long-running General Hospital as 'Laura Templeton'. More >
